Singer/harpist Siobhan Owen was born in North Wales and moved to Australia when she was two. She started classical voice training at the age of nine and recently received a Bachelor of Music (Classical Voice) from Adelaide University. She has released four albums, the latest “Storybook Journey” having received awards in Australia and the UK.
Siobhan has represented Wales many times at concerts and festivals in Australia, and in 2012 she proudly sang the Welsh Anthem at the Australia vs Wales Rugby Test Match in Sydney. Other career highlights include headlining the Los Angeles St David’s Day Festival in 2013, and performing as the voice of Yseult in the new Celtic/Rock Opera “Tristan & Yseult”, which premiered in France in March 2014 and Siberia in February 2015.
This year, Siobhan has been based in North Wales to take advantage of performance and touring opportunities, as well as recording new material for her next album. She had a successful European Tour of her “Celtic Roots” concerts in June/July and will do a short Irish Tour in September.
